About the Model

I was first scouted when I was 14 years old in my hometown of Russia by a photographer who was visiting from Moscow to take some photos of the city for his exhibition. He gave me the contact information of a modeling agency in Moscow, and after a few months, I started working on my portfolio and preparing for my first working trip. It took me two years to figure out the situation with school, and my parents who didn’t like the idea of modeling at all. Finally, when I turned 16, my parents decided to let me go, and I left for Taiwan where I worked for two months in Taipei. It was a great experience despite the hard working conditions with ten girls living in one apartment! I enjoyed being independent, making my own money and getting to know a new culture that was entirely different from my own.

​After this, for the next five years, I worked in Milan, Singapore, Athens, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and Spain. I always dreamed of working in New York City and at the age of 21, I was able to get my visa for the United States, which required working experience with the most prominent photographers and companies around the world and also at least 50 publications in magazines. That was the hardest visa to get, and I can’t describe my feelings when I was finally able to get it after a six months process. I’ve now been living in New York City for over two years, and I love it. Indeed, it is the greatest city in the world.”
