Detroit-born Kevan Hall's Fall-Winter 2022 collection, Trading Post!, is the second collection by the legendary designer since making a return from a 20-year hiatus. The collection is reminiscent of a flourishing time in the trade industry when travelers would cross the vast oceans and landscapes to exchange wares, folklore, and handcrafted textiles from Mali to Morocco to the legendary Tarshish.
For this collection, the designer implemented the use of regional fabrics, copper metallics, blackened gold, and textured prints inspired by Northern Africa. The collection was presented in a warehouse setting of traditional and contemporary Moroccan and Middle Eastern furniture and antiques.
