New York City – Art and Fashion merge for a deeply colored and kaleidoscopic fantasy. Creatures from the sea and land merge into one. Both surreal and collaborative, colors are strong and images impossible. A fantasy of pattern and richness prevail, all with relaxed silhouettes and many of oversized proportion.
Patterns of deep black sparkled by plum blue, leaf green and bark create fireworks underwater. Other artwork shows exuberant, elegant, and exotic imagery. In the underwater-tropical environments we find strange hybrid creatures inhabiting natural and surreal surroundings: seashells coexisting with banana trees, octopuses with enormous mini-molecule heads, crab-claw legs with cactus heads, green snakes with yellow crowns are some of the images in this collection.
Shapes are relaxed and include: silk asymmetrical patchwork kaftans, chemise style gowns, relax-fit Mandarin maxi styles and summer midi dresses, oversized jump-suits with over-scaled scenic panels draped over the body, relaxed his/her bowlers tops, Egyptian cotton skirts adorned by delicate hand-smocking embroidered detail, fitted silk tailored blazer with contrasting stitches paired with a high waisted wide leg-trouser, oversized crepe-chine patchwork blouses; ribbed ballerina dresses sashed and completed with a hand-embroidered full skirt, tank dress of Merino knit combined with mountain peak and linen stitching, zig-zag chevron knitted tops and Italian-linen pleated dresses are some of the shapes from the Lovebinetti Spring/Summer 23 Collection.
