About the Model

1 – Why did you choose to pursue modeling as a career?

It was my dream since I was a kid, and I had been determined to achieve it since. Once I got scouted and got the chance, there was no doubt that this was what I wanted.

2 – What do you feel is the main strength a model should possess?

They definitely must be unique in their own way. You must learn to develop this early on in the game.

3 – What do you feel is your greatest strength as a model?

Being athletic has helped me with more sports-related and activewear photoshoots. However, in the latest years, I have done a broader variation of jobs, including suiting and formal wear.

4 – How do you describe your fashion style?

I would say it is very simple. I feel most comfortable wearing a leather jacket, a t-shirt and ripped jeans.

5 – Who do you admire most in this industry, and why?

Marcus Schenkenberg was the reason I started a modeling career. As a fitness enthusiast myself, I admire him because he was able to succeed in the fashion industry even though he was quite muscular. High fashion pushes back against such physiques. He is the type of model I would like to be.

6 – What challenges have you faced in the modeling industry, and what did you do to overcome them?

As mentioned, I quickly learned that a muscular body is not that appreciated in the fashion industry. It has taken me some time to come to terms with this as I would like to be more muscular, but I also have to fit the clothes. I have to keep that in mind when planning my workout routine and diet.

7 – What is your advice for young people out there wishing to enter this industry?

To work hard and remain humble throughout your career. Also, learn not to take challenges and setbacks too personally.

8 – Where do you see yourself 5 to 10 years from now?

I try to get better each day, so I aim to continue to do what I am doing today: modeling and being a personal trainer.

9 – What do you like to do in your free time?

I love working out. I love the gym and playing ice hockey. I, of course, also love spending time with my girls – my girlfriend and our dog. They are my world. – GM
