For their Spring / Summer 2019 collection, Canadian Ready to Wear brand, NONIE, showcased a signature collection that draws inspiration from Indian design, with draping inspired by Sufi music. The collection is big on silk, adding sheen and lightness to the line. Fabrics such as Duppatas – used in India to drape and cover – are also introduced. During the show, music by Qawwali Musician, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, added an ethereal, and special touch to the event.

NONIE designs timeless modern mainstays inspired by the orient and constructed for a clean, relaxed aesthetic. For this collection, all fabrics were hand-selected from Korean and Japanese mills. As traditional for the brand, and designer Nina, the collection was designed and ethically manufactured in Canada.
