Paul & Shark by Greg Lauren S/S 2020
Los Angeles, California – For the Drop 2 of his collaboration with Italian company Paul & Shark, Los Angeles-based designer, Greg Lauren, drew inspiration from the adventurous and wandering spirit that is characteristic of human beings. That same drive usually in contrast with the need to return to one’s home once we have built unforgettable memories during our exploration of the unknown.
With this collection, Lauren celebrates Paul & Shark’s kinship to the sea world, symbolic of the brand’s DNA. The collection highlights the diverse faces of today’s active lifestyle while honoring creativity and imagination.
Paul & Shark’s high-end materials and cutting-edge manufacturing methods take center stage in this collection, with classic ideas of design being reimaged. Lauren’s artisanal approach is always present throughout the line-up, permeated with an artistic and Bohemian flare, and a sense of freedom.
Paul & Shark’s long-lasting knitwear tradition infuses garments – such as knitted Taylor suits – with a touch of comfort chic. Deconstructed overalls and coats, kimono-like cardigans, ponchos in traditional fisherman sweater-inspired patterns, classic striped rugby shirts and heritage sweaters, add a modernized preppy attitude to the collection. – GM
