New York City – Cyril Verdavainne began to establish his mark in fashion a long time before his brand, VERDAVAINNE, launched in 2018. His journey from working alongside American designer Carmen Marc Valvo, training as an illustrator at Pierre Balmain and Thierry Mugler, to founding his own sophisticated women’s evening couture collection is a testament to his vision of empowering women to express their genuine beauty through custom-designed, sophisticated creations.

In 2020, while the world was held captive by a pandemic, Verdavainne’s creative spirit was reignited, drawing inspiration from his past and unrestrained fashion experiences in Paris. He reembraced bolder shapes, intricate European fabrics, and the vibrant color palette of his childhood, infusing his designs and creations with newfound boldness and sophistication. 

Verdavainne unveiled his Spring/Summer 2024 collection during this New York Fashion Week at Casa Cipriani on Wall Street, the perfect location for a collection that epitomizes New York City’s glamour, elegance, and timeless style. Exquisite fabrics adorned the models as they graced the balcony of the iconic venue, embodying the essence of beauty and sophistication. Each piece, meticulously hand-crafted in Verdavainne’s Manhattan atelier, showcased impeccable fit, tailoring, and attention to detail. “I wanted to show something glamorous and generous in proportion but with clean, crisp lines. The use of colors was a must for me with the Neon Yellow, the Chartreuse, the Shameless Fuchsia Pink… It’s all about bringing fun to our clients’ wardrobes,” explained Verdavainne. The collection celebrated New York City’s iconic beauty and sartorial legacy while drawing upon Verdavainne’s extraordinary journey through the global fashion capitals of London and Paris and his native Casablanca. – GM
