Inspired by the science fiction film industry, Splash, the Spring-Summer 2019 swimwear collection by Budapest based fashion designer Viktoria Tisza, features a variety of creative looks crafted from materials such as silicone rubber. First showcased during New York Fashion Week at Pier59, the handmade collection makes a bold statement with a color scheme of yellow, white, black, and the use of transparency.
Recognized for her experimental designs, Viktoria Tisza did not shy away from working with this challenging material, crafting fascinating pieces such as the yellow silicone dress with a daring v-neckline. Some of the looks also feature water within the layers of silicone rubber, producing an intriguing visual effect. The collection is 100% waterproof, easy to clean, and eco-friendly.
Viktoria Tisza first launched her brand in 2012, mainly focusing on women’s swimwear. In 2015 Not Just A Label selected her to its Black Sheep category of innovative designers upon her collection CLONES. In the same year, she designed on-stage bodysuits and dresses for Beyoncé and her dancers for her World Tour. – GM.
