Hotel Clio is destined to become one of Denver's most coveted hotels, not only for its top-of-the-line amenities and refined services but for its dedication to honoring the history of its surroundings.
Denver, The Mile High City, is a travel destination that offers numerous exciting experiences, from the largest beer celebration on the planet (Denver’s Great American Beer Festival) to the endless options for outdoor adventures in the nearby Rocky Mountains. Denver also has one of the largest downtown areas in the United States, boasting a vibrant art, culinary and cultural scene waiting to be explored by visitors from all over the world. And for travelers pursuing a refined and inspirational stay, they need to look no further than Hotel Clio, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Denver Cherry Creek, which recently opened its doors in the affluent and trendy shopping district of Cherry Creek North.
Owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company and managed by Sage Hospitality Group, Hotel Clio debuts after undergoing a multi-million-dollar transformation. Conceptualized by Wilson Ishihara Design, Hotel Clio’s interiors and decor draw inspiration from Cherry Creek’s origins in the Gold Rush era and the lush natural surroundings of the location. Hotel Clio’s namesake “Clio,” the Greek muse of history, is thoroughly realized in the hotel’s heritage-honoring design, rooted in a profound appreciation for the region’s history. Reminiscing the story of William Green Russell, who stroke gold at the confluence of South Platte River and Cherry Creek, the interiors reflect a distinctive sense of discovery and good fortune, with subtle accents of gold complemented by rich earth tones. Meticulous attention to detail is further noted in the selection of marble flooring, which evokes the river’s flow, and brass accents highlighted with table lamps designed to emulate the look of a gold miner’s lamp. Custom art pieces captivate guests entering the lobby, where the dedicated staff welcomes them with a custom cocktail and hot and cold towels perfumed with the hotel’s signature aroma of White Blossom Tea.
Each of the 193 rooms at Hotel Clio has been designed with luxury and comfort in mind. They are spacious and stylish, with the Presidential Suite being the hotel’s crown jewel. Located on the top floor, the elegant suite boasts 1600-square feet of luxurious space, with a dining area for eight guests and spectacular views of the Colorado Rockies from every window.
Hotel Clio’s restaurant, TORO Latin Kitchen and Bar, by the acclaimed local restaurateur and chef Richard Sandoval, pays homage to the rich Latino culture of the region. Chef Oscar Padilla spotlights a menu that marries various Latin American culinary traditions into creative and memorable dishes. The restaurant also offers a Ceviche Bar, wine and tequila tastings, and guacamole-making classes in a sophisticated and inviting ambiance.
Whether guests are looking to visit the Relévant Galleries to admire some cutting-edge fine art, taking a walk through the lush greenery of the Denver Botanic Gardens, or seeing a show at the renowned Red Rocks Amphitheater, Hotel Clio offers a rich list of local activities in partnership with multiple Denver businesses. Visitors can look forward to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in the summer, a world-renowned and award-winning celebration of culinary, visual, and performing arts. Hotel Clio also hosts Destination Discoveries twice a week, where guests can participate in guided walking tours to explore Cherry Creek and what Denver has to offer.
Hotel Clio offers various on-site amenities for wellness-conscious guests, including a revitalized fitness center featuring Hydrow Rowers and Peloton Bikes and special wellness packages. With the assistance of the top-notch concierge team, guests can also book various bespoke wellness activities in the area.
Fashion-loving guests can book the ‘Après Shop’ Package. This experience is a nod to the tradition of Aprés Ski. It provides guests with an ultra-luxe post-shopping experience, including private in-room fittings, Champagne service, spa treatments, and a VIP reservation at Toro.
Hotel Clio is destined to become one of Denver’s most coveted hotels, not only for its top-of-the-line amenities and refined services but for its dedication to honoring the history of its surroundings. “We are thrilled to open Hotel Clio and welcome both curious visitors and familiar faces to Cherry Creek North,” said Dean Griffin, General Manager of Hotel Clio. “Our team is delighted to see this project come to life. We are very proud of the unparalleled hospitality and high-touch service infused in every aspect of the guest experience.” – GM.
